Why a crewed weekly rate is only half the number
A crewed charter fee buys the yacht and the crew. Fuel, food, drink, berthing and port charges come out of the Advance Provisioning Allowance, a float paid to the captain before the trip and reconciled at the end, and it is charged on top of the weekly fee. A crewed week published at $12,000 is not a $12,000 holiday.
