Yacht charter Naples Italy: day rates, the islands and the week market

The Bay of Naples is a day-charter market with a week-charter market hiding inside it. Most of what is advertised here is a boat for a day to Capri, priced by the day and sold to people staying ashore. The week market exists and runs south to the Amalfi coast and the Aeolians, and the two are priced on completely different bases.

What the day market publishes

12knots lists Naples boats with a from-price per day: a 9m Capelli 900 Open of 2026 at Marina Dell'Orso from 716 USD a day and a Capelli 900 Sun of 2024 from 1,030, with the same page reaching 33,803 USD a day at the top. Click&Boat's Italian listings run from 100 EUR a day at the bottom. Those are open boats and small motor yachts for a day out rather than anything you sleep on.

Procida yacht charter against Ischia and Capri

Three islands within an hour or two of the city and completely unalike. Capri is the expensive one, with a tiny marina, a mooring problem in August and a day-tripper economy. Ischia is larger, has real harbours and thermal baths, and takes overnight boats comfortably. Procida is the small one between them, which is why it appears in charter searches disproportionately: it is the quiet anchorage in a crowded bay.

The week market, and where it goes

South past Sorrento to the Amalfi coast, where the anchorages are deep and the harbours are small, then on to Capri and back, or further south to the Aeolian islands off Sicily for crews with ten days. Nautilus Yachting publishes around 1,200 pounds a week for a low season two to three cabin Italian bareboat, which is the entry to that market rather than to the bay's day boats.

What to check before booking here

Whether the price is per day or per week, whether a skipper is included or mandatory, and what the berthing will cost where you intend to stop. Italian marina fees on the Amalfi coast and at Capri in August are among the highest in the Mediterranean, and a quote for the boat alone tells you very little about the week.

Procida for a quiet anchorage, Ischia for real harbours and space, Capri for the day but not usually the night, because the mooring situation in August is difficult.
