The cheapest Caribbean week is not where most people look for it, and the gap between the headline and the total is larger here than in the Mediterranean. This page uses only figures the companies print on their own pages, because an affordable charter is one whose full cost you can see before you book rather than one with a low from price.
The cheapest published entries
Read on 11 September 2026, The Moorings prices a seven day charter for two from 2,464 USD in St Lucia, 2,634 in Grenada, 2,974 in Antigua, 3,144 in Belize and 3,284 in the British Virgin Islands. The Windwards, not the Virgin Islands, are the cheap end of this sea. Conch Charters publishes BVI monohulls from 2,599 USD a week for a two cabin Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 389, which is the cheapest named boat in this record's Caribbean pages.
What the headline leaves out
The Moorings states additional costs separately and they are large: around 1,800 USD for two people on a BVI week, 1,600 in St Lucia and Antigua, 1,400 in St Martin, 1,300 in the Bahamas and 1,200 in Grenada and Belize. Its BVI page itemises flights at roughly 500 to 1,300 per person return and a shared taxi at about 18 per person. A 2,464 week in St Lucia is therefore about 4,064 before anyone eats.
The three real levers
Take a monohull, which is half a catamaran: 2,599 against 6,999 on Conch's own card. Take the value band rather than the peak: Conch prices a four cabin Bali 4.2 at 6,599 USD from late April to mid July 2027 against 9,599 over Christmas. And fill the boat, because the price is per boat and not per head: a 2,464 week divided by six adults is about 410 each.
What not to do to save money
Book inside the hurricane season without reading the fleet's cancellation policy. Sunsail publishes about 3,500 USD for a low season bareboat monohull against about 7,000 in high season, and that discount is August to November. Take it if you understand what a named storm does to a booking and who carries the risk, and do not take it because the number is small.
